Teens
Teens are among the largest group of new drivers every year. It is imperative that they are well prepared to handle the responsibility of driving. With that in mind, Texas law requires teens under 18 years of age to take a driver education course before they are allowed to get a driver's license. That course must include a minimum of 24 hours of classroom instruction, 7 hours of in-car driving instruction, and 7 hours of in-car observation instruction. The teen must do an additional 30 hours of supervised driving practice with a licensed driver age 21 or over. Teens under 18 are required to hold their permit for 6 months before they are allowed to take a road test and get their license.
This can be a daunting task for parents. We are here to help. We offer all phases from classroom, permit testing, in-car lessons and road testing.
